Surrogacy

When a woman agrees to carry and deliver your baby for you, she is referred to as the host or surrogate, and the process is known as surrogacy.

Who needs a surrogate? : Surrogacy may be appropriate if you have a medical condition that makes it impossible or dangerous to get pregnant and give birth for e.g you may have had a hysterectomy or you may have a medical condition where pregnancy would be detrimental to your own health. The surrogate will be screened medically and pshycosocially for the same. Ideally the surrogate should be under 36 and have completed their own family.
